Terms of Service

1. Service

PicaPic ("the Service") is a browser-based image optimization tool. All image processing happens locally in your browser — we never access your files.

2. Accounts

You may use PicaPic without an account (free tier). Creating an account lets you subscribe to Pro for additional features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

3. Free and Pro tiers

Free: 5 images per day, max 10 MB per file.
Pro: Unlimited images, max 50 MB per file, batch processing, AI optimization.

We reserve the right to adjust limits with reasonable notice.

4. Payments

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Both plans include a 7-day trial period:

Monthly: Includes a 7-day free trial. You can cancel during the trial at no cost. After the trial ends, billing begins automatically and no refunds are issued.
Yearly: Billed upfront. If you are not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase. After 7 days, no refunds are issued but you keep access until the end of your billing year.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for illegal purposes
Attempt to circumvent usage limits
Reverse-engineer or redistribute the Service

6. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to your images. PicaPic's code, design, and branding are owned by PicaPic. The underlying codecs are licensed under Apache 2.0 (see NOTICE file).

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any data loss or damages arising from use of the Service.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
